  2. Please ake a way for us to delete our uploaded recordings/songs

    I listened to an uploaded recording I made of me whistling a song and it sounds awful, I want to post a new recording that sounds better but I don't want to spam a bunch of the same thing on your site and there doesn't seem to be a way for me to delete the old recording. Thanks for the help!

  5. Reduce collateral damage from sample deletion

    The recent push to clear out old samples is doing more harm than good, IMHO.
    Duplicate samples being deleted results in follows being lost and comments being lost, which is far more "bad" than the tiny "good" result of removing one "useless" sample.
    I think that either duplicates should be merged, so any comments and follows on the sample that would have been deleted would be moved into the remaining sample it was supposedly a duplicate, or better still, no actual deletion at all, just an admin action that marks a sample as a duplicate, with a pointer to the…

    i try to upload a sample of a song and when i press on confirm it says that "no temporary folder was configured in php.ini". what now? i really need that song.

    Website still doesn't work properly and many important functions were never re-implemented. What a mess!

  8. User should get alerted on the index page when there is new mail in mailbox ("1 new message")

    Hi, since this is a bit time-consuming to always check mailbox for possible WZS-internal mail, the user should get an alert like "1 new message" if there is a new message incoming.
    I've had it many times that I wrote to users and they apologized after 4 weeks that they never looked in their mailbox before.

    How could they, anyway, if they did not know they got a new message?
    As I wrote above, users will only very rarely check haphazardly whether they got new mail.

    And no, the e-mail notification that there is a new message in the mailbox…

  10. Upload is not responsive

    I closed the window but then it uploaded partial of the song. I thought the button wasn't working at all. There is no progress bar or anything to indicate whether it was uploading.

  12. You should give people the option of unsubscribing from emails.

    This should be a no-brainer. Not everyone wants to receive emails other than those concerning their posts. As is, they hover on the edge of being nuisance emails.

    hey this is already UP! had no idea. think I've just broken in when not really yet finished, but anyway

    • profiles not working yet (404)
    • mailbox only shows SENT messages but not the INBOX
    • ugly square border in player section (CSS)

    Since this site is ignored by the owners I doubt there are any moderators or anything, but there is some worthless moron on the site by "bugmenot1" who is spamming every song page with some profane, homophobic post. Unless this piece-of-sh*t excuse for a human being does the world a favor and kills himself or something, this site is going to get a lot worse.

  16. Add voting for removal of unidentifiable or unwanted submissions.

    We should be allowed to "downvote" samples for deletion for several reasons: music inaudible or quality too poor, too short, duplicate submission, etc. Wouldn't you like to clear out many of the thousands of unidentified samples that have been lingering here for months and months because they simply don't provide enough clues for anyone to recognize? Be sure to either set a high number of unique user votes (at least five), or use a ratio of votes to "keep/discard" each sample.   18. Add more flags to describe samples

    When describing samples, posters tend to describe some common qualities of the sample as they post

    ^ - Loud - The sample is loud, or has spikes in volume that are loud and may hurt a listener's ears.
    v - Soft - The volume of the sample is low in whole or in part and may need amplification to be heard
    = - Interrupted - The audio sample is interrupted by either a dropout of the audio recording or by ambient noises, such as objects falling or other people talking over the sample.

  19. Gratulation

    Ihr habt WZS auf Grund gesetzt analog der Costa Concordia. Eine Website weniger, auf der man gerne seine Zeit vertrödelt.

    Schwachpunkte
    - jetzt muss man sich die Samples bis zum bitteren Ende anhören, obwohl das nur selten der Wunsch ist. Wie stellt man sie vorzeitig wieder ab?
    - das alte Songnummern-System ist komplett auf den Kopf gestellt worden, man findet nichts mehr. Ich habe mir eine Menge Nummern notiert zur Bearbeitung. Speziell weh tut mir die vormalige Nummer 292821, für die ich mehr als 50 Stunden aufgewendet habe, bisher leider ohne Erfolg.

  20. show the upload progress when uploading things.

    Some sites have this kind of thing and they used to help me to know when the uploading is started, and when it is ended. But, this site does not has it? Please make the upload progress bar in the future. I'm a new user of this site and seems that it is great! :)
