Comment button / delete comments
Hello WZS team, I'd like to make a suggestion; change the name on red button used to comment from "confirm" to "comment".
Both terms have seven characters but latter it is usually a standard on web. Another option could be "send", less redundant since the field it's named as "comments"(second suggestion); Is it technically possible a button to delete comments? I think the new button would avoid users sending bothering double comments when site stucks or for some other reason...
These are my suggestions to improve the site. I hope I was clear since I'm not native in English…2 votes -
The site doesn't remember my language preference
"English (United States)" is my second preferred language in my web browser —the first one is "Spanish (Argentina)"—, but the site always load French as default, no matter my selection.

Messages (conversations) at "Mailbox" are cutted down

Messages are cutted to several characters (it won't send the full message).

Another bug at Mailbox: one simple message is sent several times in a row
Conversations are sent several times. When you send or receive a message, you can see it copied several times, because it's been sent in multiple times.

Sign-in trouble?
I read here and there that people got signup problems. I can confirm this on Konqueror (Linux, Gnome) where the iframe pops up but neither button works for clicking.
Below there is a somewhat hackish method that worked for me:go directly to
http://www.watzatsong.com/en/sign-up-form?iframelogin as normal
(don't be surprised nothing happens, that's because everything happens behind curtains :))
...and you should be logged in! :-P

[bash (Linux/*nix/Cygwin)] 'wzsget': short 4-liner to d/l mp3 samples off WZS
It only needed me 4 lines to write a short simple bash 4-liner that can (w)get me the samples I need to download to my HDD. Thought I'd share it here. Cut and paste and name it 'wzsget' or 'wzsget.sh' if you insist.
USAGE: wzsget <number>
So if you're l33t, 'wzsget 31337' will get you sample #31337.

Don't accept questions without a genre.
Or at least make the number of answers present at all times.
I not like wasting time clicking on songs that have already been answered.Thanks, very interesting idea and site. Good luck.

A direct ling to the sample in the tweet
That would just be the basic of sharing. When I click on "Share" on Tweeter. It just writes the #whatzatsong. It should bring a ling to the sample, so my followers can come and help directly, instead of looking for my contrib...

HTML5 / OGG Vorbis support
I'm using a Linux operating system and unable to listen to the samples without Flash (it isn't officially supported anymore) and somehow uploading a vorbis audio file isn't allowed :(

just an idea ...
a playlist where all the samples are played automatically (by tag or sorted or whatever ) and skipped by the listener .

Basic Tips Section
Hey, I like the site quite a bit, it is helpful as I have successfully found a song so far :). and I like helping others as well.
My suggestion is basic tips on finding tracks; I know a couple such as:
A] going to IMDB and finding the movie's soundtrack info or looking at the end credits / B] search engine site for lyrics, etc.But like another idea would be to maybe link this in the "Post a Sample" action just to make sure the person has a better idea.

HTML and Linebreaks in the comments
Hello. It would be great, if I was able to write bold, underlined or italic etc. text and Linebreaks in the comments.
However, I love WatZatSong! I am new here, but it seems to be a great idea! Thank you for considering my suggestions.

to limit the number of song posted per account
The purpose is mainly to decrease the number of unanswered songs.
Limit not by number, but ratio. I am thinking of 1:3, but maybe 1:10 would be more friendly to WSZ user.
For ex., if A gave 1 answer correctly, A can post a max of 10 songs.
acc B answered 3 songs correctly, so B can post a max of 30 songs.Where do this suggestion comes from?
Picture this, you have 3 new members, each with 1 song posted just to try this site, none have comment or answer to their post, because after their post, 1 other…1 vote -
Mailbox improvements
Hi, the mailbox could be improved.
I wanted to reply to a user with whom I already had a conversation, but their name didn't show up in the inbox.
I had to guess the URL (https://www.watzatsong.com/en/conversation/USERNAME) to be able to reply to them.Moreover, I didn't see their reply either. I had to go to the aforementioned URL to see it.
Their reply didn't appear at the top of the messages in the inbox.There should be a link to browse the older messages.
For information, I use Firefox 54.

pay premium
I paid twice for upgrade to premium, I saw the green tick assuming payment was okay, but in fact I had no funds in that account, perhaps if we get a RED tick that would alert us that funds are not available.
