    Charset issue perhaps?
Idea: try to eliminate the umlaut, changing Blue Öyster Cult to Blue Oyster Cult.
    Does that work?

So he was? I must say I'm not too surprised :P And to your question, how did I discover it? Well, it's my job to know about these things ;)

LOL YEAH! Plus de saisie, por favor! =)

hey spicy you're on Mac as well? (I had no idea...) So Elseneur now will no longer feel as the "lone wolf" with his Safari on Mac, that's good to know :) Because, f he struggles with the site on his Safari, you may struggle too because you may reproduce a certain behavior we may not on Windows. (Linux left out here for a reason because Safari does NOT run natively on Linux.)

Hmmm. Ugly. FFMpeg is a program used to convert/rip audio, e. g. off a video as well as able to convert mp3 to wav and vice-versa, for example.
If I had a SSH access to the WZS server, I'd easily find the problem. Perhaps permissions not set correctly (permission denied = cannot write), or wrong path specs given. *Very* hard to tell from that far away.

However, I know that Elseneur uses Safari @ Mac. So it's apparently a Mac-only/Safari-only problem, because others *ARE* able to upload.

    - Trop vrai :))

Thanks for your consideration to add back the all-history page. (Yet another good reason that I found: time ZONES: Hi-life on the site, but 4 AM in the morning in some parts of the world - with (sane) people in their beds. :) That's why history is invaluable.)

Once more, a propos user privacy:
what about an "[ ] I want to remain anonymous with my request" option?
Everyone could decide whether to reveal his/her username or not.
Or else, vice-versa? Anonymization _by default_, but whoever wants to, may check the box and reveal who he/she is. (Just to avoid identities to be unveiled against user's will. Trust me: many do not want that.)

    Good! Alright.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No worries, I've now repeated everything posted here on your support ticket system.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Frankly at about 11 PM it was rather a sort of "emergency decision" like "if he doesn't reply now, I'm gonna fold ;))

Thanks for rewriting that widget - I see that you finally got rid of the ugly SUPPORT/FEEDBACK tab solution, which was way too confusing. Looks good now. Thanks.

    -

    Furthermore...

    @Raphael

I feel that we *could* need a sort of old-style user community forum. Also for our French old-timers some of which speak barely English.
This uservoice solution is good for a limited number of things, but I'm sure you would get more feedback if there was an integrated community forum as in the old site.

OR create a French section in this forum. I'd rather not want to have English mixed with French in same discussion threads. This would get into a huge mess.

Time frame of history is TOO TERSE. I mean the "Recent activity" (formerly "Currently"/"Dans ce moment") box. Can you please think of employees not visiting the site before evening, they might want to check comment history from a few hours back, not just one.
Remember, old version still sported an "All history..." button (on separate page) which is no longer there.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
    bug reports / findings UPDATE #1 (jan 28) - revision #4
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    - you get often kicked out of the site even though you set "remember me" with a cookie

    - comments are still limited to a certain number of characters (255) BUT unlike the old (and slightly handier) version, users are no longer "told" they've reached the character limit but comments are chopped off without mercy so you have to rewrite everything beyond that limit. (Ugh...)

    - sorting is partly broken with both own requests and users' requests, making request #330100 appear next to #50192

    - comments sometimes take forever to post on Firefox (workaround: let the browser tab "grind" a bit, then stop loading and reload tab or page. _Usually works_. This has often led users to repost, which is the explanation why some posts appeared twice

    - an attempt looking for "all found requests" spits out Internal Server Error (500)

... many more to come ...

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- "'bring back'-wishlist" (essential features available in WZS 1.0, but removed in 2.0)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    - PRIVACY OF USERS!!! Whilst old requests remain anonymized, every new request you create will have the username shown on its left hand side! May you please consider that some people DO want to be anonymous and only reveal their identity if they decide to do so. Thus don't force this on users, though, because some might refuse to post at all henceforth. Thank you very much.

    - filter for genre (I'd really do NOT want to listen to all Hardstyle or Trance there is...and certain pop oddities might be poisonous to blues or jazz fans as well)

    - filter for musical era (80s, 90s). I hardly believe people will want to listen to every music released after 2000, especially users over 40 rather prefer so-called "old-time classics"

    - can you bring internal search back please?

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-- "'nice to have' wishlist" (features never available in WZS 1.0, but interesting for 2.0)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    - adding selection of IMPORTANT languages like Japanese.

I feel you should no longer list them under "Other". There is anime music, vocaloid stuff, j-pop and all that jazz. We got averagely 5 japanese language requests each day so "Other" would be a little too generic.
Even "Hindi" language selection might make sense too, for all that Bollywood music, especially in the World genre.
Plus, what about "Nordic"? (Danish/Swedish/Norwegian/Icelandic/Finnish). Or "African".
If you think that's too much, you can easily move "Chinese" or "Creole" to other. These requests are in the minority.

Passt irgendwie. ("point of no return")
Und der "Freund" ist natürlich sinnbildlich unsere gute alte Original-Seite. (R.I.P.)
