  1. You should give people the option of unsubscribing from emails.

    This should be a no-brainer. Not everyone wants to receive emails other than those concerning their posts. As is, they hover on the edge of being nuisance emails.

  2. Add some kind of progress bar for uploads.

    The window just kind of sits there until the file is fully uploaded, without even any indication of the file having started uploaded. Thankfully the screen changes once the upload is complete, but you can't tell when the upload has started or if it is even working properly.

  3. Mailbox improvements

    Hi, the mailbox could be improved.

    • I wanted to reply to a user with whom I already had a conversation, but their name didn't show up in the inbox.
      I had to guess the URL (https://www.watzatsong.com/en/conversation/USERNAME) to be able to reply to them.

    • Moreover, I didn't see their reply either. I had to go to the aforementioned URL to see it.
      Their reply didn't appear at the top of the messages in the inbox.

    • There should be a link to browse the older messages.

    For information, I use Firefox 54.

  4. Implement Song Bounties

    I think usership would skyrocket if people could place bounties on songs they sorely wanted identified. That is to say, whoever identifies the song will recieve a reward for doing so. Watzatsong could take 12.5% of the bounty price, or 1/8th. So if I put up a 4 dollar bounty, then I'd also pay watzat 50 cents. There are lots of people who listen to obscure music that wouldn't mind some quick cash.

    Also give people the opportunity to follow songs that they liked, but couldn't identify, so they can see the answer. That way it provides a means of…

    i try to upload a sample of a song and when i press on confirm it says that "no temporary folder was configured in php.ini". what now? i really need that song.

  7. Allow editing of self-comments and self-posts/uploads in posts

    Allow editing of self-comments and self-posts/uploads in posts, because people make mistakes in sentences or find better sound quality samples all the time, so it would be good to allow updates better, rather than go through the trouble of making a new post

  8. to limit the number of song posted per account

    The purpose is mainly to decrease the number of unanswered songs.

    Limit not by number, but ratio. I am thinking of 1:3, but maybe 1:10 would be more friendly to WSZ user.
    For ex., if A gave 1 answer correctly, A can post a max of 10 songs.
    acc B answered 3 songs correctly, so B can post a max of 30 songs.

    Where do this suggestion comes from?
    Picture this, you have 3 new members, each with 1 song posted just to try this site, none have comment or answer to their post, because after their post, 1 other…

  11. Avoid accidental account deletions.

    Hello.

    One accidental click and the push of a button… this could be enough to remove the account permanently.

    It might be possible already, to see, how many people (not necessairly which users) followed my sample.
    Seeing which user followed might not be a bad idea either.

    Hello. Here is another idea:
    A time-bar for the audio player would be nice to see.
    I could jump from a specific time to another, like I can do on any media player.

  14. Ability to bump other's sound searches on top of the list.

    Hello.
    I accidentally sent this to contact support, so I have to write it again:

    It's already possible for me to bump my own sound searches on the top of the homepage for six hours by paying $4.99.
    It would be great, If I could do it with other's sound searches, because I might find a song, which is searched by me AND the other user.

    It's horrible, that you can delete a profile so quickly! Sign off sounds like log off! It deletes accounts without confirmation E-Mail.

    Hello. It would be great, if I was able to write bold, underlined or italic etc. text and Linebreaks in the comments.

  18. Add voting for removal of unidentifiable or unwanted submissions.

    We should be allowed to "downvote" samples for deletion for several reasons: music inaudible or quality too poor, too short, duplicate submission, etc. Wouldn't you like to clear out many of the thousands of unidentified samples that have been lingering here for months and months because they simply don't provide enough clues for anyone to recognize? Be sure to either set a high number of unique user votes (at least five), or use a ratio of votes to "keep/discard" each sample.   19. Seems like when you go to load as a first time user there is no indication that it is working

    I had no clue it was loading, I just kinda had to sit there and wait and hope for the best. I have a feeling this might be a huge deterrent for new samples. Seems to be a firefox issue, but as firefox is a major browser this might be something to check out.

  20. Suppose, that a user is drunk or sleepy...

    Your website looks good, really. But there are some nuances here and there, that do not help a beginner, allow him to make a mistake instead. For example, there's no explicit info about a sample's max. duration. Secondly, I did not notice an "instrumental" option in the "languages" drop-down menu when filling info to upload. I would rather like to see this option being separated and more explicit by that... And would like to recommend you to try an interesting approach: "Suppose, that a user is drunk or sleepy".
