  2. pianoman here with some reports / feedback

    hey this is already UP! had no idea. think I've just broken in when not really yet finished, but anyway

    • profiles not working yet (404)
    • mailbox only shows SENT messages but not the INBOX
    • ugly square border in player section (CSS)

    so long...keep that up ... later

  3. [bash (Linux/*nix/Cygwin)] 'wzsget': short 4-liner to d/l mp3 samples off WZS

    It only needed me 4 lines to write a short simple bash 4-liner that can (w)get me the samples I need to download to my HDD. Thought I'd share it here. Cut and paste and name it 'wzsget' or 'wzsget.sh' if you insist.

    USAGE: wzsget <number>

    So if you're l33t, 'wzsget 31337' will get you sample #31337.

  5. Gratulation

    Ihr habt WZS auf Grund gesetzt analog der Costa Concordia. Eine Website weniger, auf der man gerne seine Zeit vertrödelt.

    Schwachpunkte
    - jetzt muss man sich die Samples bis zum bitteren Ende anhören, obwohl das nur selten der Wunsch ist. Wie stellt man sie vorzeitig wieder ab?
    - das alte Songnummern-System ist komplett auf den Kopf gestellt worden, man findet nichts mehr. Ich habe mir eine Menge Nummern notiert zur Bearbeitung. Speziell weh tut mir die vormalige Nummer 292821, für die ich mehr als 50 Stunden aufgewendet habe, bisher leider ohne Erfolg.

  7. Sign-in trouble?

    I read here and there that people got signup problems. I can confirm this on Konqueror (Linux, Gnome) where the iframe pops up but neither button works for clicking.
    Below there is a somewhat hackish method that worked for me:

    (don't be surprised nothing happens, that's because everything happens behind curtains :))

    ...and you should be logged in! :-P

  8. How to cope with the number of song requests?

    Firstly, I think this is a fantastic concept - truly the best way to identify songs & music. One of the main problems I see is that with the
    number of song identification requests made every day, a request only appears on the front page for perhaps a couple of hours before it is pushed down the queue onto the next page of the listings never to be looked at again. If anyone else is like me, I rarely look past the first or second page. What I think would help is a way of listing by category or searching…

  9. Suggestion: Please rename "Electro" genre as "Dance & electrónica"

    This way, people could submit tracks from dance music (house, deep house, hard house, tech house, funky house, techno, old school techno, trance, goa trance, progressive, deep progressive, etc) and electrónica music (chillout, ambient, drum and bass, jungle, hip hop, trip hop, big beat, lounge, downtempo, tango electrónico, etc).

  10. Another bug at Mailbox: one simple message is sent several times in a row

    Conversations are sent several times. When you send or receive a message, you can see it copied several times, because it's been sent in multiple times.

  12. The site doesn't remember my language preference

    "English (United States)" is my second preferred language in my web browser —the first one is "Spanish (Argentina)"—, but the site always load French as default, no matter my selection.
