  3. encourage posters to give a lot more information.

    "HELP ME WITH THIS SONG" isn't as encouraging as "I was with my mother in a Belfast cafe and this song was playing. She remembers it from about1995? I'd like to get her the cd\download"

    For searching for genre, comments (yes/no), answers (yes/no), sort by age of request, number of answers...

  5. Can't unfollow samples!

    I can't unfollow certain samples no matter how many times I click 'unfollow'. It's annoying!

    As of today if you comment on a sample you automatically follow this sample unless you click 'unfollow'. (I am not going to discuss how stupid this new feature is.) My problem is that there are samples now that I can't unfollow no matter how many times I click 'unfollow'. :(

  6. User should get alerted on the index page when there is new mail in mailbox ("1 new message")

    Hi, since this is a bit time-consuming to always check mailbox for possible WZS-internal mail, the user should get an alert like "1 new message" if there is a new message incoming.
    I've had it many times that I wrote to users and they apologized after 4 weeks that they never looked in their mailbox before.

    How could they, anyway, if they did not know they got a new message?
    As I wrote above, users will only very rarely check haphazardly whether they got new mail.

    And no, the e-mail notification that there is a new message in the mailbox…

  7. show the upload progress when uploading things.

    Some sites have this kind of thing and they used to help me to know when the uploading is started, and when it is ended. But, this site does not has it? Please make the upload progress bar in the future. I'm a new user of this site and seems that it is great! :)

    i'm disappointed that there isn't reggae music section ... no more reggae music on this site ??!! :(

    I paid twice for upgrade to premium, I saw the green tick assuming payment was okay, but in fact I had no funds in that account, perhaps if we get a RED tick that would alert us that funds are not available.

  13. Add some kind of progress bar for uploads.

    The window just kind of sits there until the file is fully uploaded, without even any indication of the file having started uploaded. Thankfully the screen changes once the upload is complete, but you can't tell when the upload has started or if it is even working properly.

  14. No way to change e-mail address used for registration?

    Well, I'm actually posting this on behalf of a user who speaks nearly no English (let alone any French).

    It seems this user is right: you CANNOT change the e-mail address you've registered with?
    This would be a very bad thing, because imagine your e-mail gets hacked or your e-mail provider does no longer allow free e-mail and you do not want to pay, so you're forced to switch to another e-mail provider.

    Re-registering would be out of the question, too, because that way you'd lose all your alerts and solved requests (which many people may occasionally need to look…

  15. Mailbox improvements

    Hi, the mailbox could be improved.

    • I wanted to reply to a user with whom I already had a conversation, but their name didn't show up in the inbox.
      I had to guess the URL (https://www.watzatsong.com/en/conversation/USERNAME) to be able to reply to them.

    • Moreover, I didn't see their reply either. I had to go to the aforementioned URL to see it.
      Their reply didn't appear at the top of the messages in the inbox.

    • There should be a link to browse the older messages.

    For information, I use Firefox 54.

  16. Implement Song Bounties

    I think usership would skyrocket if people could place bounties on songs they sorely wanted identified. That is to say, whoever identifies the song will recieve a reward for doing so. Watzatsong could take 12.5% of the bounty price, or 1/8th. So if I put up a 4 dollar bounty, then I'd also pay watzat 50 cents. There are lots of people who listen to obscure music that wouldn't mind some quick cash.

    Also give people the opportunity to follow songs that they liked, but couldn't identify, so they can see the answer. That way it provides a means of…

  19. to limit the number of song posted per account

    The purpose is mainly to decrease the number of unanswered songs.

    Limit not by number, but ratio. I am thinking of 1:3, but maybe 1:10 would be more friendly to WSZ user.
    For ex., if A gave 1 answer correctly, A can post a max of 10 songs.
    acc B answered 3 songs correctly, so B can post a max of 30 songs.

    Where do this suggestion comes from?
    Picture this, you have 3 new members, each with 1 song posted just to try this site, none have comment or answer to their post, because after their post, 1 other…

  20. Ability to see, how many people followed my sample.

    It might be possible already, to see, how many people (not necessairly which users) followed my sample.
    Seeing which user followed might not be a bad idea either.
