Please bring the old design back!
Sorry, but the new design is really hideous and it's difficult to find anything.
I'm really sick of websites changing a perfectly working interface and my having to get used to it all over again...
My point is: If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Hi everyone,
We are sticking with the new design but slowly improving it step by step. Every comment of missing / broken feature is more than welcome.
Many thanks!

Same here. :(
Most of the samples I solved are gone but there are also two solved ones I've never even seen before. I NEVER submitted these guesses but they are attributed to my user name... o_0
Something is really wrong here...

@Pharcyde: Try asking in piano's thread -> http://watzatsong.uservoice.com/forums/145224-general/suggestions/2546157-pianoman-here-with-some-reports-feedback
He's bound to look there.
Hope you'll get all your samples back soon! (I'd be worried too if I were you. Luckily I always save all unsolved requests I'm interested in separately - over 150 at the moment.)
PS: I wasn't the one who commented on Raphael's work. I just quoted another user's comment.

ATSUKO,its true i cant imagine the amount of work Raphael does.I respect he tries to help us.But i am scared ot losing my alerts-solved/unsolved ,as well as the list of my solved samples.i ve done so much work in the past, spent so many hours collecting them,i dont want them to be lost from 1 day to another.
Its always Raphaels decide what to do with the site but I could even beg or pay for my lists to come back.
Secondly,i have a problem listening my samples.PIANOMAN,then prob is not solved with IE.i cna listen all others samples, but half of mine.Which browser do you guys suggest? -

How hard Raphael is working is completely irrelevant - the website is §&"%§ as it is. I've never seen such a !§&$/% up relaunch. No warning, no support but for a few chosen ones. (Just count how many times Pharcyde asked for help...) If users decide to leave, WZS has noone to blame but itself.
I don't know what you mean by "trackers". Many people use multiple websites - WZS, Discogs Track IDs, AllTheLyrics, Soundcloud Identify Tracks, TrouveTaMusique etc. I don't care as long as someone can help identify whatever it is I'm looking for.
PS: Raphael's post was a lot more helpful than your sorry attempt at partisan hackery

Watzatsong4ever, say, who the hell are YOU? I've been using this site for 3 years (fantastic 3 years, with a site deemed 'permanent beta' by the makers but loved by the users!) and I even helped fix a huge bug with IE/FF just yesterday and also reported many of them to the dev. team in the old site.(R.I.P.)
That's why I reserve the right for me to take none of your lip unless you reveal who you actually are!You copy that? Fine.
I strongly hope that you do not happen to be just a kind of extra-employed 'spin doctor'---I'm using deliberately the political term here, mind you---wanting to make people believe everything is great and it was never as great as now. Yeah, right.
Facts are, the things the makers considered "too much clutter" or "too less
used by users" due to mathematical calculations (!!) were in fact pretty essential. We, the regular user community could have warned the developers to NOT remove these features because we badly need them, but did they ever listen to us? Hardly ever.I appreciate Raphael's hard work (I always did) BUT: doing such major changes without asking the users first--for it came suddenly and shockingly from one day to another--- is not really a wise thing to do IMHO.
Of course, he may do with "his" site whatever he wants, but: finally it's the user's decision to stay or start a mass exodus because of whatever. The hazard is always there - with no doubt.

My advice to pianoman: go and have some fresh air, outside. Look at the trees, listen to birds, talk to the stars, and come back, like in 2 months. Life is short. Enjoy it

Aww-aww-aww, promo guys requesting a site version for marketing purposes and you have to present a half-working one just because of time constraints.
(This recalls my internship times, OMG)--
Raphael, please see my (POLEMICS-FREE) bug report and wish list on this page here:
http://watzatsong.uservoice.com/forums/145224-general/suggestions/2546157-pianoman-here-with-some-reports-feedbackThere is a huge post made as a "comment" which lists all the bugs found and also documents missing features that we once loved very much.
Glad you could nail down that bugger. (Firebug I love you! =D)

Hi All
Thank you very much for all your comments and feedbacks. We read them all with big attention.
We couldn't get back to you earlier today because the Midem event was taking place and we had to be there and present WatZatSong. We were honored that to be selected and had to focus on what was taking place at the event here in Cannes.
We know the launch if this new version is a big difficult but that is usually what happens for new versions, and, usually, things get better very quickly.
A few things you have to know:
- the new "design" is definitely not only a "design" change. We changed a lot of the technical architecture of the website. The previous version wasn't done properly so it had become almost impossible to make the website evolve anymore. We had to develop it totally from scratch again and I must say that, even if you cannot see it or feel it yet, the new technical platform is much more flexible. The service didn't evolve over the last few years, we now have a website that "can" evolve.
- we had to launch in a bit of a hurry and couldn't test the website properly before. The reason is that the midem invited to talk and we had to have a version "ready" for today. The demonstration went very well, which is very good news for the website, and we now need to finish our work.
- the previous version of WatZatSong was very cluttered with too many things, most of them not working anymore. It was very hard for new users to figure out how to use the site. We know the new version is missing "a lot" of the important features (like seeing the requests you follow) but we will try to get them back as quickly as possible. Please, allow us some time and if there is a specific feature you are missing a lot, shout-out so we can put it higher in the priority list.
- finally, the "big bug" about samples not working on Firefox and Internet Explorer (and that was a huge one....) is now solved thanks to the help of Pianoman.
We have always been thrilled by the amazing support the WatZatSong community has given to us. We really want the new version to keep that conversation going and we are not letting you apart or ignoring your opinions.
Thank you very much for the confidence you have shawn in WatZatSong over the last few years. Let's give this new version, after this hectic start, a great life.
Raphael for the WatZatTeam

In reply to your last comment pianoman it is essential as you stated as we all have better knowledge on some music genres then others. I don't think it's about getting used to the site again as it is missing lots of things and they need to be sorted soon. The makers of this website when they first made it was one of the best things that happened to the internet. yourself have solved songs for me as I have with others. I would like one of the site engineers to come on here and speak out, I understand we maybe getting stroppy to soon but that's the way it go's. I do hope you guys read these message and if need to take the site off line for a bit just to tweak up the bugs it would be for the best. Keep them ideas and problems coming in peeps it should help in the end.
